Jules Verne

(8 February 1828 – 24 March 1905)

Jules Verne was a Speculative Fantacist, which really means he wrote science fantasy - his stories are often based on some science, but the science is somewhat fuzzy and there is quite a lot of "hand waving", trying to gloss over how the "science" worked.
